Matt Olson, Saxophonist and Educator
We saxophonists always enjoy comparing notes on the equipment we use, so here is what I use. I freely admit to playing the same equipment for a long time -- I tend to stick with what feels good to me. I proudly endorse Selmer Saxophones and Mouthpieces and D'Addario Mouthpieces and Reeds.

All of my repair work is done by the BEST repairperson around...Paul Maslin of PM Woodwind in Evanston, IL.

I get asked a lot about the Frank Wells mouthpieces I use on alto and tenor. They are very unusual in their construction, but I'm used to them and like them a lot, though they aren't perfect. I bought my alto mouthpiece in high school from Frank, who, before he passed away, used to work out of the back of the old Saxophone Shop in Evanston, IL. I got my tenor mouthpiece from him a couple years later when I was in college. To say the least, hanging with Frank was quite an experience!

I also have a Buffet R-13 clarinet and a Pearl Elegante flute that I use for doubling.
